I was invited along to a very special Birthday party, The Brewery Pre-School celebrated its 35 Birthday in traditional style.

I don’t know whether you have heard about this wonderful place, it does seem to have been a hidden gem. You can find it behind the Brewery Arts centre on the same level as the newish screen addition at the back.

Both of my children went along, firstly to the toddler groups with me and then to the pre-school sessions. They had so much fun they couldn’t wait to get there and were even disappointed they weren’t going on their days off!

The facilities are just what you need for little people, good outdoor space with large climb in sand pit, adventure area, and wooden play house with space left to ride many a bicycle or tractor.

Inside a plethora of activities await, wooded kitchen area complete with washer and units – it’s never too early to train house keeping! Fancy dress outfits from around the world, soft area, books galore, I could go on and on.

Toby particularly enjoyed baking; he enjoyed getting his hands in even his face at times and was so proud of the finished product every member of the family had to see the result before he eventually ate it.

I will give the contact information and timings if you fancy a step down memory lane or want to start an exciting new journey: Pre-school Mon - Fri 9.30-12.00noon term time ( age 2-4y) Baby & Toddler groups Tues, Weds, Thurs 12.45-2.45pm term time (age 0 - 3y) Open week November3rd - 7th, all welcome, new to have a look, old to re-visit!
