A KENDAL man has been appointed a non-executive director of the body which runs Westmorland General Hospital.
Retired IT sales director, Ian Tomlinson, 65, will sit on the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust board for four years and is likely to play a key part in rolling out a new computerised patient record system.
The motorsports and sailing fan said: "I am pleased to be joining the Trust as it faces the challenges of going for Foundation Trust status and is in the middle of deploying new technology in its hospitals. I hope my business and IT experience will be of value and that I can make a positive contribution to the future development of the Trust.”
