ROTTERDAM is the on the itinerary of a new road show designed to promote The Lake District directly to potential visitors.
The show will showcase visitor attractions, accommodation, Cumbrian produce and crafts at the Dutch port as well as visit city centre locations in the UK such as Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester.
Starting in May, The road show will take the form of a large marquee; part visitor information centre and part market featuring Cumbrian crafts and produce that shoppers will be able to buy.
Events will be accompanied by a promotional team who will be provide literature, advice and a taste of the region by handing out samples of well known Cumbrian foods including freshly cooked Cumberland Sausage, Mint Cake and Gingerbread.
Not on the menu, but doing his bit will be Peter’s cousin, Benjamin Bunny. He and other iconic figures will chat to children and parents, handing out balloons and adding to the spectacle, which is a joint venture between A-ha! Marketing of Kendal and Made in Cumbria.
