A WALKER who went missing while walking the Pennine Way has been found alive and well.
Thomas Miles, 32, from London, was discovered on the fells this morning by a helicopter from RAF Boulmer.
Mountain Rescue teams were directed to his location and he was helped off the fells and is now in Kirkby Stephen.
Mr Miles was walking the Pennine Way alone and was last heard from when he called his wife at 1pm on Sunday.
He had gone missing while walking between the Langdon Beck Hotel, in Forest in Teesdale, and Dufton, on Sunday.
Kirkby Stephen and Teasdale Mountain rescue teams were involved in the two-day search operation.
