KIRKBY Stephen Community Cinema is set to showcase another hit movie.
On Thursday February 26, the New York Zoo’s motley crew will hit the screens with another action-packed adventure in Dreamworks latest PG-rated animated tale, Madagasca Escape 2 Africa.
The village cinema, which is run by volunteers as a joint project between Age Concern Eden, Extended Services and Kirkby Stephen Town Forum, is held monthly in the Kirkby Stephen Grammar School hall.
It has all you need for a real cinema experience, including Dolby surround sound, a huge screen, as well as the all important ice cream, drinks and popcorn.
There is a pre-cinema, 5 o’clock club for the older residents of the area where they can have a cuppa and a chat before the film.
For further details of this club contact Valerie Jayne at the Age Concern Resource Centre, Penrith, on 01768-86318 .
Tickets go on sale on January 26 and are available from Rattan and Rush, Kirkby Stephen Books and Age Concern shop, all in Kirkby Stephen.
Tickets cost £4 or £13 for a family of four and there are discounts for groups.
