TOWNS and parishes in north Lancashire will have a greater voice over county decisions and could soon be running more local services thanks to a new agreement.
Lancashire County Council’s new Parish and Town Council Charter will enable parish and town council to share their views on county council work and decisions - and it is hoped that this will give parish and town councils more influence on local services and enable them to take on the running of certain services in their area instead of the county council.
