POLICE have reminded residents to secure their properties following a spate of burglaries in Oxenholme.
Four unsecure houses on Helmside Road and one on Helmside Gardens were entered between 2.30am and 4.30am last Friday (August 21).
Laptops, mobile phones and two handbags were stolen, but the handbags were later recovered close to the scene.
Officers are appealing to anyone who attended a party in the area that night who may have seen something or have important information or anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact DC Nick Slade on 0845 3300247 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
