LANCASHIRE pupils have revealed their recipe for emotionally happy and healthy education.
Using specially created ‘learning balls,’ year eight pupils from Carnforth High and Hornby High identified active and fun teaching styles, clean and tidy schools and trustworthy mentors as vital ingredients for a safe and pleasurable learning experience.
The exercise, which was organised by NHS North Lancashire, Lancashire County Council and Lancashire Care Foundation Trust, was attended by 48 pupils from across North Lancashire.
“The event gave us a great insight into the mental and emotional health and wellbeing of school pupils,” said Sally Parnaby, director of organisation development and provider services at NHS North Lancashire.
“Creating an environment where pupils are emotionally happy and healthy is vital if young people are to enjoy their experiences of learning and of school as a whole.”
