DAREDEVILS are gearing up for the chance to freefall at more than 120 mph to raise much-needed funds for a local charity.
St Mary’s Hospice, in Ulverston, has organised a sponsored parachute jump on Saturday, September 12, at Cark Airfield, near Flookburgh.
The hospice, which cares for adults with terminal illnesses and their families free of charge, needs £1.8 million a year in donations to remain open.
