Millom and Haverigg Economic Development Group’s appeal to supermarket giant Tesco to lay on a shuttle bus service to Barrow has upset local businesses.
The bussing request comes over the closure of Millom’s Lancashire Road Somerfield store for re-fitting as a Tesco.
Millom Fruit and Veg shop owner Dave Nutter has called for MHEDG to disband, saying: “How do they think it will benefit businesses to take people to Tesco in Barrow?”
