As your website is your 24/7 shop/business window it's also a good idea to display your changes via your website. Make it known to your customers that you are maintaining growth and you intend to be around for quite sometime. If your website looks old and tired then potential customers will think you are no longer trading. All too often we see the the copyright date being out of date, this is another factor to consider. If you have a static site then your designer has to update it on a regular basis, thus adding costs on top of website hosting costs. The better idea would be to get a cms (content management system) one thing we need to understand with cms is the fact that the way they are built is crucial. You cant just pick any old cms as it may be vulnerable to attacks by hackers. A cms such as Drupal which is robust and can be updated each time a security is dedicted is a much safer option than having to re-build your website on an annual basis. The lesson and thought for 2010 should be to spend money wisely, to do the research into what you are buying, and the old but very true saying "you get what you pay for".
