POETRY walks from the Lake District home of William Wordsworth will begin on Saturday. Starting from Dove Cottage in Grasmere, the route will take in some of the same sights which inspired the famous poet to write. For details, call 015394-35544.
MORECAMBE'S Echoes of Art Deco guided walk will take place again on Monday starting at the Tourist Information Centre. The two-hour walk, led by local guide and Art Deco expert Peter Wade, will take in examples of the evocative architectural style on both a grand and domestic scale throughout the resort.
FOLLOW a guided walk from the Leisure Centre in Kendal along the canal path on Tuesday from 11am as part of the One Step at a Time, walking the way to health series. On Thursday, another short walk around the village of Staveley will take place. Meet at Staveley Mill Yard entrance at 2pm. Call 01539-729511 for details.
