A LATE try from student international Ash Carroll finally killed off Lancaster's effort against Liverpool in the Totalrl.com Rugby League Summer Conference sentencing the locals to a 28-18 defeat.
Lancaster try scorers were Mark Squire, Mark Yates and Liam Butterworth, making his first start for the club.
Matthew Edwards was player on the day, also on his debut.
