APPLEBY CC's 18-year-old Australian professional Patrick Lindorff will be sidelined for a few weeks with shin-splints, forcing the club to register a deputy.

His compatriot, Luke Wimbridge, the club coach, is to takes over as replacement professional for the club, which is currently languishing in bottom spot in Division 1 of the North Lancs and Cumbria League. Appleby recorded a losing draw against Cleator A on Saturday, Terry Askew top-scoring on 31 not out from a total of 89-7. But it fell well short of Cleator's effort of 157-7, with first-team skipper Tony Stones hitting 33.
