THE county’s gardens are set to open their gates to the public for another blossoming year.
The National Garden Scheme (NGS) will burst into life with a new garden, Ulverston’s Swarthmoor Hall, which will open from mid-February until April.
A guided tour of the historic hall is also provided in the £4.50 admission charge.
Summerdale House at Nook, Lupton, will hold a snowdrop day on February 28.
The NGS has donated more than £25m to charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Help the Hospices over the last 10 years.
