As a search engine consultant in Cumbria I have seen many workshops on offer that promise to deliver, yet so far, I've had samples of what's available but nothing more than I already know.

I suppose for those who have no knowledge of the internet then I understand how this may be of benefit, however, when it is clearly aimed and marketed for those who already know, then I fail to see what the purpose of that exercise was, apart from lining someone else's pockets.

When it comes to the internet the best place to start is to purchase the good old "For Dummies" books. Further info can be found on the net, the majority of places to search will be listed in these books.

Actions speak louder than words, so if your thinking of attending a workshop, make sure it does what it say's on the tine, a workshop allows you to WORK while in the shop, test these theories and practices while you are there. If the workshop entails you need only site and listen, then in all honesty, I wouldn't bother!
