Detective Inspector Dave Banks from South Cumbria CID said: "We are releasing these CCTV pictures to try and identify witnesses to this serious incident. The building was seriously damaged and we are fortunate that no one was injured or even killed.

"I would like to appeal to the three people captured in the CCTV to contact detectives in Kendal CID. I'd like to stress that we are not treating them as suspects but believe they may have information that could help our investigation and identify those responsible.

"This investigation is still in its early stages with various lines of enquiry underway. I hope that the local community continue to come forward to help us - we need to find out who is responsible and stop them striking again."
