AS A driver for the past 38 years, one of the most noticeable changes I have seen is the expression on the faces of motorists.
Driving was enjoyable before the roads were invaded by speed cameras, chicanes, speed humps and the like - now drivers always seem to have a tense and impatient look.
The mini-roundabout at Torrisholme is a perfect example treated by most as nothing more than a bump in the road to be driven over. At one time it was only 4x4s but now everyone has joined in and it is an accident waiting to happen.
Thankfully, some motorists do still have patience and a smile or wave in the traffic flow. Please keep up the courteous driving.
Malcolm Spence, Torrisholme.
