I WRITE in response to Geraldine Smith's comments reported in the media following the publication of the Butler report, in particular regarding Tony Blair.
He has made mistakes, but to suggest that politicians and journalists were misled' and that he deliberately hyped up the intelligence on WMD's is wrong.
Ms Smith must have a short memory, as she wouldn't be an MP if it wasn't for the way Tony Blair transformed the Labour party force.
Indeed, it is because of Mr Blair and the good things that Labour are doing in government that I recently became a member of the Labour party.
Ironically, she seems to be using the media for her own ends as she is no doubt worried about her own position after last week's by-election results.
