PREPARE to chortle, chuckle and laugh out loud as a weekend of fun, stand-up and cabaret rolls into Morecambe.
The resort's annual Comedy Weekend promises to provide more than just a bundle of laughs starting next Thursday, October 20.
And there is even a giggle discount' available for anyone who buys tickets for three or more shows.
The comedy begins with a look back at Britain's best loved double act - Morecambe and Wise are celebrated with 'Bring Me Sunshine',at the Platform.
On Friday (October 21) Simon Munnery will be performing his new show Buckethead', set in the near future where its all a bit much really and some people have taken to wearing buckets on their heads in response!
This is Simon's third visit to the Platform.
A weirdly wonderful show with the Trachtenburg Family Slide Show Players takes the spotlight on Saturday. This show was the must see' surprise hit of the 2004 Edinburgh Festival and followed up with a four weeks sell out season at London's Soho Theatre.
Then the family show The Happy Gang wings in from Scotland billed as a sporran swinging highland fling of an adventure for all ages.
The Happy Gang was launched at the 1995 Scottish International Children's Festival and within six months the BBC had signed them up to present a new TV series a unique blend of theatre, music, adventure and audience participation for children of all ages.
Rounding off the weekend is American comedian Dave Fulton with Canada's Jason Rouse in a We're All Americans' show full of sharp wit and cynicism based on the observation of society and the shortcomings in the world.
Two other shows on either side of the weekend are also included in the weekend's Giggle Discout' package.
Mark Thomas and Robert Newman are in Morecambe on Tuesday, October 18, and Bernard Manning stars on Friday, October 28. The discount will save £2 on each ticket price.
