October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it's hard not to notice the pink ribbon-bedecked shop window displays, the magazine articles and the national publicity.
However, although it would be churlish to criticise the aims of the special month, for a small number of women living with cancer, the constant reminders and information can sometimes do more harm than good.
To find out more about dealing with breast cancer today, health reporter Michaela Robinson-Tate spoke to four nurses who are at the front line of care.
