WITH the untimely recent death of Brian Rooney, the local building trade has lost one of its most familiar and friendly faces.
Brian died suddenly at work. Most people knew him through his position at AP's Merchants and, later, Broomby's.
He was 41 years old and was born at Ulverston. He was single and lived in Kendal, having a number of interests at which he excelled.
Brian had a lifelong love of music and had, at one time, been the voice of hospital radio' at Kendal. He was an accomplished photographer and could play several instruments. He was also a keen traveller and quiz/puzzle exponent.
Cremation took place at Morecambe.
