CONGRATULATIONS to Kendal painter Richard Light for winning the visitors' choice best painting' award in Upfront Gallery's Cumbrian Open Exhibition.
The Green Door Studio artist landed the majority of the 1,100 votes cast at the Hutton-in-the-Forest gallery, near Penrith, with his The Big Picture.
The judges' first prize went to Keswick's Tricia Kerr.
