POLICE are asking for information on a hoaxer whose bogus warning of a bomb in the Newcastle Building Society office in Stricklandgate, Kendal, on Monday lunch-time led to the two-storey building being cleared for an hour and a half.
A spokesman for the building society said the incident was brought to a satisfactory conclusion with no injury to staff or customers.
Anyone with information about the hoaxer is asked to contact Kendal police on 01539-722611.
