THE writer of a musical play based on the life of Dusty Springfield is searching for someone in the region to play her part.
Middle of Nowhere runs at Staveley Roundhouse on July 22 for five nights and Steve Andrews is keen to hear from anyone aged between 25 and 50 with singing and acting skills to play Dusty in his Beesknees Touring Theatre production. "Mine is a professional company and a fee would be payable. A significant part of the appeal of the play is the backing singing and solo dancing."
Steve says the play won the best musical award at last year's Buxton Festival and has played to full houses on the South Coast.
