THE Heaves Hotel, at Levens, is to host a Great English Breakfast' as part of St George's Day events on April 23, organised by the Country and Business Association to celebrate local pride and produce'. This year is the 1,700th anniversary of the death of St George who, as well as being England's patron saint, is venerated in many countries throughout the world as the patron saint of agriculture and farm workers. The CLA is keen that as many people as possible support the occasions, and non-members are welcome. Tickets for the breakfast are priced £8.50.
