DANCING shoes at the ready, a house DJ with an international reputation is calling into Kendal next weekend and you've just a few days left to get your ticket.

Former choirboy turned superstar DJ Greg Vickers (below) is set to guest for Fairplay Productions at another one-night extravaganza at Kendal Town Hall on Friday, April 18.

New dcor has been hired in specially for the night including six-foot white stars, strobes, visuals and a white ceiling, transforming the venue into a clubbers' paradise.

The gig comes courtesy of the boys from Fairplay Productions - a home-grown music events team from Kendal - who have embarked on a mission to bring great quality nights to our doorstep.

Clubbers can also bask in the warm glow of collective goodwill as 25 per cent of all profits from the night will be forwarded to charity.

A DJ star on an upward trajectory, Greg is one of a new generation of performers.

The warm-up DJ of choice of the great and the good, including the likes of Sasha, Carl Cox, John Digweed and Jeff Mills, he also has a residency at one of the UK's most successful house music nights - tribal sessions at Skankeys Soap Manchester.

On top of his weekly residency he performs guest slots at clubs around the country at venues from Bugged Out! Liverpool to BackIIBasics and Pacha.

Fairplay Productions member Chris Nelson said: "The best thing about all of this has been the positive feedback from people who have been to our nights. We have brought in different dcor this time so people know we are making an effort. We are all really looking forward to it."

The night will also feature local DJ support from Dan Newby, CJ Nelson, Chris Stanbridge, Jay and Mike Stephenson, Nick Lowe and Luke Channon.

Other events coming up at the town hall courtesy of the Fairplay Productions team are Paul Jackson, Friday, May 23 and others to be confirmed later this year.
