PHIL Dixon, tenant of the Bluebird Caf at Lake Road, Coniston, has secured planning permission to extend the kitchen and create more storage and freezer space.
The Lake District National Park Authority's development control committee heard the extension would be clad in colour-coated steel sheets with a green felt roof to match the existing caf.
They heard there would still be turning space for tour operators' coaches in front of the caf.
