CASTERTON schoolgirls will be brushing up their backhand in preparation for a one-off lesson from tennis star Jo Durie.
The player who reached a career highest ranking of world number five and got to the quarter finals of Wimbledon is set to visit the school on Wednesday, November 13, to officially open a set of new tennis courts at 2.30pm.
The £450,000 all-weather pitch, which will be used for hockey in winter and tennis in summer, is the first stage of a three-pronged improvement programme at the school which will eventually include a new music school and a performing arts centre.
