KENT Estuary YFC member Richard Geldard was one of three young farmers representatives who travelled to Downing Street to discuss proposals to help young people find a way into farming.
Richard, 28, who farms with his family at Low Foulshaw, Levens, was one of a delegation from the National Federation of Young Farmers who met Tony Blair's senior agriculture advisers.
After the meeting Richard said: "The meeting was very constructive.
We want to try to secure some future prospects for our members and this is a proactive way of doing so." More meetings are planned.
