A FREE alcohol and drug awareness course takes place at St Martin's College, Ambleside on Monday and Thursday (Oct 7 and 10).
Run by the Cumbria Alcohol and Drug Advisory Service, the course is aimed at those wishing to know more about the problem.
CADAS community youth development worker for Kendal and South Lakeland, Sue Hinton, said that the course was aimed at the community in general, with the intention of giving people unbiased information about alcohol and drug problems before they occurred.
The course runs from 9.30-4pm on both days.
