DON' T miss Damson Day this Saturday (13th).
Centre of the celebrations will be the Lakes School, at Troutbeck Bridge, where damsons, in all their delicious glory, will be available from members of the Westmorland Damson Association between 10.30am and 4pm.
As well as the likes of gin and jam, there will also be demonstrations of damson woodturning, damson growing, and even damson trees for sale.
