THE Jubilee Park in Kirkby Stephen has been awarded £50,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund towards its rejuvenation.
The park is at the southern end of the town and seldom used by residents or visitors.
The money will be used to make the park more accessible, safer and more welcoming.
Rejuvenation plans include a boating lake and there is also a separate scheme to build a summer house in the park with £36,000 from the Eden Council's Millennium Fund.
