THE British public has voted Victor Meldrew the number one complainer according to a new survey published by budget accommodation company Travel Inn.

The research, which looked into people's views on complaining, also found that more than 41 per cent thought that, as a whole, companies were not dealing with complaints effectively, and more than 33 per cent of the public asked were more likely to complain directly themselves while nearly a quarter make a spouse or partner complain.

The survey was conducted by Travel Inn, the UK's leading budget accommodation company whose customer promise is 'Everything you want for a good night's sleep.' Travel Inn are so confident that they live up to this promise that they launched the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee at all 260 Travel Inns across the UK just to prove it.

Under the guarantee, if a customer staying at a Travel Inn is not 100% satisfied with his or her stay then the Travel Inn will fix this problem and if the customer is still not happy then Travel Inn will refund the cost of their stay.

What's more, there are no terms and conditions and customers will be able to invoke the guarantee and receive their refund at the front desk making this the first guarantee of its kind in the UK hotel industry.
