CORINTHIANS paid the price for missing a hatful of chances against visitors Wigan SMR on Saturday.
The Milnthorpe side, unbeaten in the league since last August, produced a lacklustre display.
They put some early pressure on Wigan, with Lee Blamire going close with a header, and as the first half progressed several good goal-scoring opportunities followed, and Craig Walmsley outpaced the defence only for the keeper to make an excellent save from his goal-bound shot.
Soon afterwards a good move down the right from Corinthians saw Chris Hayton turn his man on the edge of the area but his shot was again well saved.
On the stroke of half time Corinthians broke the deadlock and it was Walmsley's deceptive inswinging corner which eluded everyone to go in at the angle.
Wigan equalised early in the second half after a good move was finished well by their striker, giving stand-in keeper Gareth Parry no chance.
The deadlock remained until the last 15 minutes when substitute Fleming missed a couple of excellent chance to wrap the game up.
Instead Wigan went down to the other end and were awarded a controversial penalty when David Shaw was adjudged to have fouled an opponents.
Keeper Parry got his fingers to the spot-kick but could not keep it out,.
Corinthians are at home to Whinney Hill (3pm kick-off) this Saturday.
The Reserves lost 3-2 away to Wyre Villa.
