An M-Sport Focus prepared by the Ford works team will be making a special appearance on the Whinlatter Forest stage of the 20th Malcolm Wilson Rally on March 3
The works team is fielding the car, piloted by Mark Higgins and Steven Finlay, as a shakedown for the start of their assault on the British Rally Championship, which opens in Wrexham on March 10.
The Malcolm Wilson Rally field includes Arnside's Wayne and Neil Sisson, in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 4; Millhead's Ian Joel and Graeme Wood who hope to collect points for the BTRDA series; Kendal's Bill Dawes and Danny Stephenson in their 1300 Escort Mk2; Grizedale's David Shuttleworth and Steve Perie; and Barbon's Phil Burton and Mick Fallows.
Harvesting in the North Lakes stages means that some of the stages will be reversed from their traditional routes.
Stage start times are: Wythop Wood, 9.16am; Thornthwaite, 9.31; Grizedale North, 11.16; Grizedale South, 11.39; Wythop Wood 13.52; Thornthwaite, 14.08; Hospital Plantation 14.27.
