CUMRIA RUFC are looking for a new team secretary after the decision by Gordon Skelton of Penrith to stand down after four years.

"Gordon had a very goood start because in his very first year Cumbria won the County Championship final at Twickenham, " said county secretary Alan Tiffen.

"We are looking for someone to take over a key role in running the county team, working closely with the players and selectors," he said.

Most of the duties involve informing players of their Cumbria selections and when and where they will be required to meet.

Cumbria have three Northern Group matches in the County Championship starting on Easter Monday, April 16 at home to Lancashire.

That is followed with an away game with Northumberland on April 21 and finally a second home match with Staffordshire on April 28.

Anyone interested in the post should contact the chairman of selectors, Keith Warwick, on 016973 42303.
