NEXT year will be the tenth anniversary of the twinning of Kendal and Rinteln, in Germany.
Friends in both towns are already thinking of ideas to celebrate the bond, and one suggestion is to stage an event to coincide with Kendal's Torchlight Procession.
Mayor of Rinteln Karl-Heinz Buchholz has expressed an interest in attending the procession.
