COMPLAINTS about late-night celebration firework displays prompted Windermere police to write to every hotel and guest house in the area, asking for advance warning of pyrotechnic displays.
Sgt Ken Jewell told Windermere Parish Council that such information would help police to put people's minds at rest when they complained about disturbance from fireworks.
