KIRKBY Lonsdale painter Kate Bigland is the featured artist at the town's Finestra Gallery this month.
Kate has become well-known for her large-scale oil paintings and drawings of male and female nude studies.
She also paints large flower studies and landscapes in oil, and her work currently includes some paintings of ladies' shoes.
Kate studied fine art at Leeds College of Art, and then the Royal College of Art in London. She later taught art for several years in Kidderminster, and has been a full-time professional artist for more than a decade.
The gallery also has an exhibition of sculpture by Czech artists Otaka Sliva and Barbora Slivova, while James Hake also has new sculpture on display, featuring vibrant colourful ceramics.
The exhibition runs until July 9, and the gallery is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
