WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT THE LAKE DISTRICT? I fell in love with the Lake District in my teens and always told family and friends that I would spend some time here before settling down.
Then I fell in love in the Lake District and can't imagine living anywhere else.
So the best thing about the Lake District is that I share it with Martin and some truly wonderful friends.
AND THE WORST? Traffic - I hate it!
FAVOURITE PLACE IN THE LAKE DISTRICT? Anywhere over 3,000 feet, but especially Skiddaw, not every-one’s idea of a beautiful fell and some say it’s boring, but I can't drive past without wishing I was up there.
FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT? Baz's house. The best broccoli in England and guaranteed good company.
FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP? I'm not a great shopper and I've never taken to supermarkets - life is stressful enough without adding to it, but I can cope with Booths! But I still think eggs are still best from the market.
FAVOURITE MEMORY? Summer holidays spent in Langdale 1971 - 1976 with Philippa.
