A STAGECOACH UK bus apprentice who works at Kendal has won a prestigious national award.
Rebecca Marsh was named 2010 winner of the transport engineering and maintenance category at the GoSkills Passenger Transport Apprenticeship awards.
Rebecca, who is in her third year of the company’s UK Bus apprenticeship programme, said: “It is a great honour to win this award and I would like to thank my mentors and colleagues at Kendal for the support they have given me.”
Stagecoach North West managing director Paul Southgate, said: “This award is credit to Rachel’s personal commitment and = reflects the high standard of training and development we provide.”
Stagecoach currently has 154 apprentices in training across its UK bus operations, which stretch from the Highlands and Islands of Scotland to south-west England.
