The winners of the Innovation and Technology Award at last year's Westmorland Gazette Business and Tourism Awards have spoken of the 'wonderful' boost it gave them.
Electronics specialists Forge Europa caught the eye of judges for its talented staff and its state-of-the-art developments in LED lighting technology.
The Ulverston company’s operations director Julie Barton said the company’s team of 26 had been delighted when they won an award which highlighted the developments they had spearheaded in the industry.
“We not only benefited from lots of positive publicity, but it was also a wonderful way of recognising and celebrating our team’s efforts and achievements,” she said.
“Forge Europa is a Furness company devel-oping, designing and manufacturing energy saving LED lighting solutions and innovation is one of our core strengths,” she added.
“The Gazette award certainly helped us to reinforce our reputation.”
