A MAN was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after being involved in a car crash near Tebay.
At 7:40pm last night (Wednesday) police, fire crews and The Great North Air Ambulance were called to a road traffic collision on the A685. It is understood a car left the road and rolled multiple times.
Medical crews worked to treat the family involved. The driver, from Durham, was then flown to Cumberland Infirmary, in Carlisle, with head injuries. Two other casualties went by road ambulance.
A spokesperson from GNAA said: "The incident highlights the advances the charity has made in extending its working hours - enabling the crews to complete jobs in darkness and provide even more cover for the region."
