When big changes come in our lives we often find it unsettling. This has always been the case with humanity.

Mark Twain wrote: “The only person who welcomes change is a wet baby.” However, change has to happen.

We understand the changes needed for the Earth in the seasons. Nature needs winter to rest and spring to wake.

The seasonal changes don’t upset us, but personal ones often do. The world around us constantly changes; our families change, we change - but hopefully we gain a little wisdom along the way. Even the way change happens in our high tech world changes. The old saying is true “the only constant is change”

How will we handle all this change?

Are we going to fight it; resist it; let it get us ‘“in a tizzy?’ Or are we going to embrace it; use it; adapt ourselves to what’s happening and make the best of things?

Change is inevitable; happiness is optional.

When everything around us is in a state of flux, we should remember that God’s love is steadfast and unwavering. How blessed we are to know that He will always be there in our time of need.

There is no need to fear change if you let God guide the changes.

God told us - in Joshua chapter 1 verse 4: “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will never leave you or forsake you.”
