BUSINESS is booming for a South Lakeland firm that has enjoyed the busiest period in its eight-year history.
The credit crunch is showing little signs of biting at Coniston Corporate Embroidery, which supplies workwear and bespoke embroidery to more than 2,000 customers across the country.
The business saw its busiest-ever spell between May and July this year, and is well on the way to repeating last year’s landmark achievement of breaking the £1 million turnover barrier.
With customers spread far and wide, from cricket clubs in Buckinghamshire to primary schools on the Solway coast of Cumbria, and from Third World adventure companies in London to hot air balloon firms in Kent, there is no risk of Coniston Corporate putting all its eggs in one basket.
Whether it’s a sport or leisure club, a company or a school, most organisations have their own corporate logo – and Coniston Corporate specialises in embroidering those logos on to everything from business shirts and sweatshirts, to fleeces and workwear.
Up to 3,000 garments a week are despatched from the firm’s production base, situated in a picturesque fellside location close to Coniston Water.
