THE Kendal and District Engineering Society and the Institution of Civil Engineers are jointly hosting a talk on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (HS1) by Brian Campbell.
The event will take place at 7.15pm on January 9 at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal.
The group’s next meeting closely follows on January 22 at the same venue, when it will be addressed by Andrew Hall of the Network Rail Accident Investigation Branch.
All meetings are free for members or £3 for visitors.
Under 25s also have free entry.
