Kendal's Tom Aspinwall was in action once again as England Under 19’s comfortably beat their South Africa opponents in Wednesday’s quarter final played in Antigua at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Batting first, South Africa were all out for 209, Dewald Brevis top scored with 97, Leicestershire leg spinner Rehan Ahmed was the pick of the England bowlers taking 4-48. Tom Aspinwall bowled 3 overs for 19 runs.

England’s batsmen quickly knocked off the total to finish on 212-4 off 31.2 overs with Jacob Bethell producing a destructive innings of 88 runs from only 42 deliveries faced.

England will face either Afghanistan in the semi-final to be played next Tuesday, 1 February in the same stadium.
