A canoe club is on the search for people to join its ever-growing team.
Lakeland Canoe Club (LCC) is a thriving club based in Kendal with over 150 members. It costs £20 per year to join the club or only £10 for a student.
Join the club now and get two canoe polo pool training sessions free on March 28 at Kendal Leisure Centre from 8:30pm-9:30pm and one in April too.
Normally the club charges £8-£10 for each weekly pool session. No equipment is needed - only a swimming costume and T-shirt. You should be age 16 or over, and able to swim.
Pool and Polo Secretary Mike Powell said the group was a great way to get active and socialise.
He said: "Come give it a go and see what it's like.
"It is a really good sport. It's social. Wwe are always going out in groups - you're never paddling alone and it's a really good way of getting out into the lakes."
To join up search for the club website here and find the online membership form under Forms and Policies or contact Mike Powell at Lakelandcanoeclub@gmail.com.
