CARNFORTH Station Heritage Centre and Leighton Hall won a bronze award at the UK Coach Awards 2019 in Blackpool.
The two attractions teamed up two years ago to give coach and group parties a full day out, spending the morning at the station made famous by David Lean's classic film Brief Encounter, then travelling on to the home of the Gillow furniture-making family for lunch or afternoon tea and a guided tour.
More than 1,400 visitors enjoyed the package last year, and the venues say an even greater take-up is expected this year.
Judges praised the joint venture as "a good example" of working together to make visiting by coach an attractive option.
BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood presented the bronze certificate for the Making Coaches a Better Choice category. The winner was Stagecoach East Scotland for its new low-floor coaches.
